May 2026
Hello Friends!
May always arrives with a little extra sparkle and a touch of chaos and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Celebrating my birthday at the end of April always makes May feel like a new year is starting!
There’s something about hitting 53 and 10.5 years since opening Moxie that feels a little like a coming of age. Not the soft, quiet kind. The earned kind. The kind where you’ve weathered enough seasons to know who you are—and just as importantly, who you’re not. And the kind of coming of age where you no longer hide your birthdays! I'm 53 y'all and feeling more myself than ever.
If you’ve ever seen Fried Green Tomatoes, you might remember that moment. Evelyn Couch, a quiet woman who, after years of being overlooked, underestimated and pushed aside, finally steps into her own strength. Not loudly at first—but undeniably. TOWANDA!
That’s what this season of Moxie feels like.
Because building something over a decade—something rooted in community, in women supporting women, in showing up again and again—isn’t just about growth. It’s about protection. It’s about clarity. It’s about standing firmly in what you’ve built, even when the world around you gets a little noisy. And lately, it has.
But here’s the truth: Moxie was never just a name.
It’s a collection of people, moments, risks, late nights, early mornings, hard lessons, and deep belief in something bigger than ourselves. It’s every customer who chose to shop small. Every woman who took a chance on herself. Every collaboration, every market, every conversation that turned into something more.
It’s a decade of intention.
And that doesn’t get replicated.
What it does get is reinforced.
So this is us—stepping into that Towanda energy. Clear-eyed. Grounded. A little bolder. A little less apologetic. Still generous. Still community-first. But deeply rooted in who we are.
Because Moxie is not one thing. It never has been.
It’s: • Moxie Mercantile — where it all began • Betty by Moxie — playful, expressive and evolving • Stay Moxie — creating space to gather and rest • Moxie Huddle — connection, conversation and growth • Bev Proseccheria — a toast to joy, community and a little sparkle
Each one is an extension of the same heartbeat.
And if you’ve been part of this—whether for ten years or ten minutes—you’ve helped shape it.
So thank you for seeing us clearly. For choosing us intentionally. For growing alongside us.
Towanda.
