Hello Friends!
I feel like every month I am exclaiming how fast the next month is approaching and here I am again, I can’t believe it’s already October! Spooky season has officially arrived. Now we just need the crisp air to roll in so we can wear all those cute, cozy layers. October is like retail's tailgate for Holiday. We are busy bees trying to organize and focus to make the rest of the year get off without a hitch. Only time will tell if we are successful at that!
We’re excited to share that our brand new space in Plaza Midwood is officially open! Dubbed "The Kitchen Room", it is stocked with practical (along wtih some impractical) kitchen-y gifts from tea towels, to coffee mugs, to cutting boards, to clean home goods and all the way to dog food! Yes, we are stockists for local dog food brand, The Furry Foody. You can find it in both Plaza Midwood and Matthews.
Looking back, September was an absolute blur. Days and nights were spent attending Furman volleyball games, recreating back-to-school routines and hatching new ways to serve our community, while also remembering how sweet the love of a dog can be. On 9/29 we had to say goodby to Moxie Brown, our beloved family dog that we rescued from our first ever dog adoption event in 2016.
On a quieter note, I recently came across an article that explored the ABCs of Fall: Abundance, Balance and Consciousness
Abundance: recognizing the richness of the season and all it provides.
Balance: finding your rhythm as the days grow shorter.
Consciousness: being mindful and present in each moment.
It made me reflect on how this season offers both a vibrant celebration and a gentle reminder to slow down. Whether you’re carving pumpkins or carving out time for yourself, we hope you find your perfect fall rhythm and are forever thankful that you choose Moxie as a brand to be a part of your life.
