April is here, and with it, the city feels like it’s waking up. The days are stretching longer, the air is warmer, and suddenly, there’s more room to breathe. Anyone else feel that shift? After the heaviness of the past few months, it’s nice to see everything start to bloom again. There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to get outside, take in the sun, and maybe even slow down a bit. I know I’ve been juggling a lot lately—feeling the weight of it all—but spring has a way of reminding me that there’s always space for fresh starts.
It’s also a time to reflect on what it means to “have it all.” Once we’ve achieved a certain level of success (and failed along the way) or reached a long-term goal, when do we know we’re enough? As our passions evolve into driving forces, how do we celebrate those moments of achievement—and when do we stop to appreciate how far we’ve come? But what if we still want more? What does that say about us?
I recently had the honor of being the guest speaker on Carrie Wren's podcast "From Good Girl to Grown Ass Woman." Carrie is a Life and Leadership Coach in Charlotte, NC. In the podcast (linked below) we explored:
The pressure of "having it all": How does it feel to be seen as the pinnacle of success?
Gratitude vs. the desire for more: When is enough, enough?
Self-care and prioritizing your needs: How do we balance ambition with personal well-being?
Defining success on your own terms: What truly matters?
Spring feels like the perfect time to ask these questions and take stock of what’s important. Maybe we don’t have all the answers, but there’s power in reflecting on our journey so far. So, here’s to finding joy in the little things and taking time to appreciate what we’ve accomplished—while always leaving room for more.
