Hello Friends!

Do you know why we love November so much? It's our anniversary month! We are celebrating 9 years of service in our community. It all started in 2015. After months (8!) of convincing Betty Mims that Clifton and I were the right ones to carry on her retail legacy in Plaza Midwood, we had a signed agreement to start working on my dream. It took two months and lots of elbow grease to get our little house ready for you all to enjoy. We quietly opened in mid-October of 2015 to the group of community members that were part of our focus groups. We had three employees, Heather Hoveland, Amy Williams and my dad, Barry. I was completely behind the scenes still working in corporate america and these lovely humans got Moxie off the ground. We had a grand opening on November 7, 2015. It was the start of something amazing...and we are counting our blessings that we have made it this far. Amy and Heather are still running the show, with AC in Plaza Midwood and Linda in Matthews. We have gone from three employees to almost 30. Small business is no joke. Cheers to 9 years! Come celebrate at any of our locations on November 9, 2024. We will have special giveaways, some surprises and smiles on our faces ready to greet you as we approach our 10th holiday season.

Santa Paws ~ Moxie Mercantile Plaza Midwood ~ Saturday, November 23rd 11am-1pm

Santa Paws is coming to town! Join us for photos with Santa at Moxie Mercantile - Plaza Midwood. Bring your pups, cats and/or your kids. For your minimum $20 donation you will receive a printed 5X7 photo and for $5 more you will get to take home a flash drive with all the out takes. It’s a great event and we can’t wait to see you there! All donations will go to support Yellow Brick Road Dog Rescue.

And speaking of giving back, if you read last month's newsletter and saw our social media posts, you might have noticed that as a brand we were raising funds for Go Jen Go. I am SO thrilled to announce that because of you all, we were able to beat our previous year's donation. This year we made a donation to Go Jen Go for $3000.00. Nobody fights alone.
